As safety standards for household appliances continue to evolve, KADO HD V0 offers the next generation of our proven KADO HD connection box series. Designed for demanding global applications, it combines superior fire protection, durability, and sustainability in one solution.
Advanced Fire Protection
KADO HD V0 features a new high-performance insulating material that meets the stringent UL 94 V0 flame-retardancy standard. The material is self-extinguishing and provides excellent long-term thermal stability.
For appliances designed according to IEC 60335-1, KADO HD V0 also fulfills the fire-resistance requirements for contact carrier components in unattended equipment with current loads above 0.2 A:
- Glow Wire Test (GWT): Passed at 750°C with a flame duration below 2 seconds.
- GWIT: VDE-tested Glow Wire Ignition Temperature of 775°C.
Reliable Under High Temperatures
Thanks to improved material properties, the maximum operating temperature for UL applications has been increased from 65°C to 125°C. Combined with a CTI value above 600 (IEC 60112), KADO HD V0 delivers excellent resistance to electrical tracking and long-term reliability.
